Cedarwood English Springer Spaniels is Celebrating 25 years of Showing and Breeding quality Springer Spaniels.
Pat with canine companions DJ, Jett, and Waylon Cedarwood English Springer Spaniels are owned and loved by Patricia & Wayne Welch and reside in Rochester, MN. I grew up with English Springer Spaniels which my Father and I used for hunting. In the early 80’s I did some Obedience work with a Springer. In 1985 we bought our first Show Springer - Ch. Wil-Orion’s Sophistication - 'Sophie'. From Sophie we have developed two lines - Ch. Cedarwood’s Allure - 'Lindsay' and Ch. Cedarwood’s Grand Collection - 'Chelsea'. We have been able to successfully cross these two lines in our younger generations. We continue to breed for all around dogs with consideration to soundness, temperament and spaniel type. All of our dogs are OFA / CERF.

Cedarwood English Springer Spaniels have been very fortunate over the years and have experienced some degree of success with our dogs. With the continued assistance and friendship of other springer enthusiasts we hope that we can continue to support and better our breed. |

To date we have had 53 American Champions. Many of our dogs have done well at Specialties earning honors too numerous to count. Some of Cedarwood’s highlights have been earning ESSFTA Show Dam of the Year 2002, ESSFTA Runner up Show Dam 2000 and 2004, ESSFTA National Sweepstakes Winner, along with ESSFTA Winners Bitch and Best of Winners, the Bred by Exhibitor Class at the ESSFTA National Specialty, Specialty Best of Breed & Top Ten ESSFTA Ranked Bitches for 2001 & 2002. Our dogs not only do well in the Breed Ring they are wonderful family pets. They are very intelligent, excel in Obedience, Agility and hunting. We are members of ESSFTA National Club, Twin Cities Voyageur English Springer Spaniel Club and the Rochester Minnesota Kennel Club.
